Innovative audio, visual, and performance work — one standard, four divisions.

KwestMedia is the umbrella behind four working divisions — arrangement, audio, visual design, and performance — run by people who've actually stood on the field. Our flagship, Gauntlet Marching Design, has been writing for band programs and drum corps staff for years.

Divisions

Arrangement & audio
Gauntlet Marching Design

Music arrangement and audio design for marching ensembles, from NCBA Grade 1-2 programs to drum corps-style productions. A professional arranger and audio designer means shows land clean, staff coach a score built for their ensemble, and performers get music written for what they can actually play.

Audio & systems
Gauntlet Audio

Sound design, system work, and audio consulting for clients who want that expertise on its own, without a full arrangement package. Getting levels, coverage, and signal flow right up front is what lets performers trust what they hear on the field and directors trust what the audience hears in the stands.

Visual design
KwestVisuals

Branding, graphics, and visual identity for programs, organizations, and events. A program that looks as sharp as it sounds carries into recruiting, fan engagement, and how judges and audiences read a show before a note plays.

Theatrical & live performance
Ictus Performance

Theatrical and live event performance work — staging, show logistics, and performance consulting alongside the design and audio businesses. Professional oversight on that side keeps schedule, flow, and presentation working for the performers instead of against them.

About

One person's standard for "done right."

I didn't set out to build a company. I set out to make marching band shows and live sound work sound the way they're supposed to sound, and somewhere around year five or six of doing that, on real fields, for real programs, with real deadlines, it turned into more than I could hold under one name.

KwestMedia is what happens when you stop treating that as a hobby. Gauntlet Marching Design is where most of it lives: arranging music and building sound for programs from grade 1-2 all the way up to drum corps-level shows. Gauntlet Audio, KwestVisuals, and Ictus Performance all grew out of the same instinct. If I'm already in the room doing the work, I might as well do it right across every part of it I touch.

The resume is real. A world championship season as System Designer and Audio Caption Head for Boston Crusaders, teaching audio and technical direction at NC State, three Dante certifications, a tool I built that's now running live on tour. But none of that is really the point. The point is I kept showing up and doing it carefully enough that people kept asking me to do more of it, for more of them, until it needed a name bigger than mine.

That's KwestMedia. Four divisions, one person's standard for what "done right" means, wherever it's needed.
